MMU MERIT (INTERNATIONAL) Scholarship

A tuition fee waiver programme for self-funded international students who

excel academically a­er the announcement of their ‑rst long trimester result of

Bachelor’s Degree Programme in MMU.

Criteria & Entitlement:

CGPA 3.50 – 3.74= 25% of tution fees

CGPA 3.75 and above= 50% of tution fees

MMU INTERNATIONAL STUDENT Rebates

A tuition fee waiver programme for self-funded international students who enrolled into MMU Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in 2021.

Criteria & Entitlement:

Eligible to all International Students who did not meet the MMU Merit Criteria= 10% of tution fees

MMU LOYALTY SCHOLARSHIP

1. MMU SIBLINGS Discount

This discount is given to new Foundation, Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree students who have a

sibling enrolled in MMU or graduated from MMU.

Criteria & Entitlement:

One or two or more children having one or both parents in common.

(This does not include family members outside sibling relationship such as fostered, step-brother / step-sister, godbrother / godsister etc.). = 10% of tution fees

The siblings must still be an active students pursuing the programme or have graduated from MMU.= 10% of tution fees

1. Open for All Foundation, Diploma and Bachelor’s Degree Programmes.
2. Students shall commence and ‑nish the Programme of Study within the period stated in the oer letter. If

students fail to ‑nish their studies as scheduled, MMU reserves the right to terminate and withdraw the discount.

3. No disciplinary case during the duration of studies. If students are found guilty on any disciplinary offence, MMU

reserves the right to terminate and withdraw the discount.

4. Discount is not applicable for payment of re-sit / re-take of subjects.
5. No backdated discount will be given.
6. MMU ALUMNI Discount

This discount is given for MMU Diploma Alumni who are pursuing their studies at MMU’s

Bachelor’s Degree Programmes.

Criteria & Entitlement:

Entitled for MMU Diploma students who proceed to Bachelor’s Degree programme in MMU 10% of Tuition Fees= 10% of tuition fees

1. Open for All Bachelor’s Degree Programmes.
2. Students shall commence and ‑nish the Programme of Study within the period stated in the oer letter.

If students fail to ‑nish their studies as scheduled, MMU reserves the right to terminate and withdraw the

discount.

3. No disciplinary case during the duration of studies. If students are found guilty on any disciplinary oence,

MMU reserves the right to terminate and withdraw the discount.

4. Discount is not applicable for payment of re-sit / re-take of subjects.
5. No backdated discount will be given.

Note

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Students must have received Offer Letter of Admission from Multimedia University for 2021 Intakes.
2. Students who meet the minimum criteria specified are eligible to apply for the Scholarship / Financial Aid. Meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.
3. Students are required to provide information on the family’s financial position, as stated in the Scholarship Application Form.

MMU reserves the right to withdraw the Scholarship / Financial Aid application should the information furnished by the student is found to be false, misleading or untrue.

4. All scholarship applicants will be evaluated and shortlisted by the Scholarship Committee. The shortlisted applicants might be called for an interview.
5. Students are only entitled to one (1) MMU Scholarship at one time (MMU Scholarship include Scholarships, Awards, Discount and Fee Waivers). Students are not allowed to combine the Scholarship / Financial Aid.
6. Applicants may be awarded a sum that may be less than what is stipulated / published, depending on the availability of the Scholarship Fund.
7. The Scholarship / Tuition Fee Waiver and Discount is not applicable for payment of re-sit / re-take of subjects.
8. MMU reserves the right to revoke any scholarship due to termination of student status, withdrawal or change the programme before completion, and / or non-compliance with MMU Rules and Regulations or other Terms & Conditions of the scholarship. Recipients may be required to repay the scholarship / bursary amount used upon revocation.
9. Students are undertaken to pay any fees incurred that are not covered by the Scholarship / Financial Aid.
10. The successful applicants must be willing and committed to participate in marketing activities organised by MMU.
11. Students are required to refer to MMU Scholarship / Financial Aid website for further information on the Scholarship / Financial Aid.
12. All scholarships / discounts are awarded on a first come, first served basis (where applicable), and are subject to the availability of the quota set in that particular scholarship category.
13. Students are required to comply to the Terms and Conditions in the Scholarship Agreement or the Letter of Award.
14. Late and incomplete application forms will not be considered for selection.

• High School Transcripts in Arabic and English or English language only if graduated from a school its medium of instruction is English.

• English proficiency certificate with minimum band 5 in ILETS or its equivalent.

Masters’s Required Documents

• Bachelor Certificate in Arabic, English or English language only if graduated from a school its medium of instruction is English.
• Bachelor’s Transcripts in Arabic and English or English language only if graduated from a school its medium of instruction is English.
• A personal photograph with a white background.
• A complete scanned copy of current passport.
• English proficiency certificate with minimum band 6 in ILETS or its equivalent.
• Research proposal for a research-based study.
• Two recommendation letters from 2 professors or lecturers from the University of Bachelor Studies.
• Experience Certificate of at least five years if found.

PHD or Doctorate Required Documents

• Bachelor’s and master’s Certificate in Arabic, English or English language only if graduated from a school its medium of instruction is English.
• Bachelor’s Transcripts in Arabic and English or English language only if graduated from a school its medium of instruction is English.
• A personal photograph with a white background.
• A complete scanned copy of current passport.
• English proficiency certificate with minimum band 6 in ILETS or its equivalent.
